Job Description
Codesaint Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Consultant with strong expertise in NAV to Business Central migration. The ideal candidate will analyze existing NAV environments, plan and execute migration strategies, ensure data integrity, and implement Business Central best practices across functional and technical layers. You will work with cross-functional teams — functional consultants, developers, and project managers — to deliver seamless ERP transformation projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end migration from Microsoft Dynamics NAV (various versions) to Business Central (On-Prem or SaaS).
- Perform system assessments, gap analysis, and process mapping between NAV and BC environments.
- Convert legacy C/AL customizations to AL extensions using Visual Studio Code.
- Manage data migration through RapidStart Services, Configuration Packages, and Data Migration Wizard.
- Design and implement integrations using APIs, OData, and Power Platform connectors.
- Ensure minimal business disruption through rigorous testing and validation.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and IT teams to align ERP functionality with business objectives.
- Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Provide end-user training and post-migration support.
- Work on Microsoft licensing, environment setup, and deployment planning (SaaS or on-prem).
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central ecosystem.
- Proven expertise in NAV to Business Central migration or upgrade projects.
- Strong knowledge of C/AL, AL, SQL Server, PowerShell, and Azure.
- Proficiency in functional modules: Finance, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, and Jobs.
- Experience with Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate) is a plus.
- Hands-on with RapidStart Services and Data Migration frameworks.
- Strong grasp of Microsoft cloud architecture and ERP deployment models.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Effective communicator with ability to manage multiple projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (MBA in Finance/Systems preferred).
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (required).
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate (preferred).
