Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and creative Shopify / WooCommerce Developer to join our in-house web development team. The candidate will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining high-performance eCommerce websites for domestic and international clients. This role involves close collaboration with designers and marketers to implement pixel-perfect UI and seamless shopping experiences.
Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain eCommerce websites on Shopify and WooCommerce platforms.
Work on custom themes, third-party app integrations, and plugin development.
Optimize websites for speed, performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
Implement payment gateways, shipping rules, taxes, discount logic, and inventory management.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues related to checkout, integrations, or APIs.
Collaborate with UI/UX designers to bring wireframes to life.
Maintain Git repositories, staging environments, and deployment best practices.
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Stay up to date with platform changes, plugin updates, and eCommerce trends.
Requirements
Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Shopify and/or WooCommerce development.
Proficient in Liquid, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and REST APIs.
Deep understanding of Shopify APIs, Storefront customization, and app configuration.
Experience with WordPress hooks, WooCommerce filters/actions, and plugin customization.
Familiarity with tools like Git, Postman, Figma/Adobe XD, and browser dev tools.
Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Experience with Headless Shopify / JAMstack is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
Shopify/WooCommerce developer certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
Strong portfolio of past eCommerce projects.
